In a world of rapid change, young minds need the right mix of skills to thrive. Access to information is increasing, and memorizing facts is less important today than in the past. Although academic and scientific skills remain important, they are not sufficient to foster thoughtful, productive, and engaged citizens. Young minds everywhere need to develop a greater breadth of skills to evaluate and apply knowledge in ways that meet the new demands of our changing social and economic landscape.
About Us
We believe that Uttarakhand can achieve its full growth potential only when school children and rural communities are empowered to make choices and transform their lives. In this spirit, we established the Altitudinal Academia for Science with Holistic Vision of Innovation (AASHVI Foundation) in 2019. AASHVI Foundation is an Uttarakhand based non-profit organization focused on promoting innovation, science, art, and culture in schools and communities, especially among rural youth, while also prioritizing environmental care. Our main objective is to offer hands-on, experiential learning opportunities that make science engaging and spark innovative thinking. Furthermore, AASHVI seeks to raise awareness and educate both school students and the wider community about environmental conservation and the importance of preserving our scientific and cultural heritage. We are dedicated to nurturing young minds and tackling community health issues within the state.

As the founder of AASHVI, I am deeply passionate about empowering the youth of Uttarakhand, especially those in rural communities. Our journey began with a simple belief: that true growth and development come from nurturing young minds and providing them with the tools they need to thrive.
At AASHVI, we strive to create an environment where innovation, science, art, and culture flourish. Our hands-on programs are designed to inspire curiosity and critical thinking, making learning an engaging and transformative experience. Approach
- Help children go through the thrill of innovation, identify a problem, try a solution, if it fails, try something different till they succeed in solving the problem.
- Create and interest in pursuing science and create open minds, foster curiosity such that they challenge the norm and raise questions.
- Relate science, art and culture to things encounter in our daily lives. Bring key concepts out of textbook into physical world by experimental activities.
- Showcase innovation, especially grass-root innovation in forestry and environmental sciences.

Our Working
AASHVI offers Kinesthetic learning programme at school with a wide range of materials and resources to create, experiments and innovate to inculcate a better understanding of scientific phenomena and improved cognitive life skills.
Workshops:
Workshops have been conducted for enhancing science teaching skill and knowledge throughout the year on regular intervals. Our workshop makes the learning not just everlasting but makes students visualize their imagination as well.
Hands on experiment:
We regularly conduct laboratory experiments for school children to cater to the requirement for those schools in the vicinity that don’t have access to the basic facility for executing science experiments.
Refresher courses:
Refresher courses held annually to generate an awareness of innovative ideas and methods involved in teaching learning process.
Parent Interaction session:
Need based interaction programme to enable parents towards more effective parenting, by knowing the strength and weakness of their ward and helping them in overcoming the child’s weakness in a time bound manner thereby transforming the students into a well round personality.
Consultancy:
We offer need-based consultancy for individual and communities such as evaluation programme, education and career based, planning sustained monitoring and environmental issues.
Our Outreach
AASHVI works towards reaching out to school/Institute for mutually beneficial purposes. Any School/Institute can become a member and partner of AASHVI by:
- Sharing innovative strategies developed by school
- Sharing relevant publications and resource persons
- Offering a venue for workshops
- Adding your ideas for making education more output oriented.
